Calling all Classic Car enthusiasts! Detroit International River Days presents Cars on the Water classic car show. Cars will be displayed on Atwater Street for thousands of River Days spectators to admire.
This can’t miss event for car owners and admirers alike will happen on both Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24 beginning at 12:00 Noon and lasting until 6 p.m. (*please note time change – previously noted as beginning at 11 a.m.) and will feature live broadcasts from WRIF-FM and WCSX-FM.

Registered Car Show participants should arrive at Chene Park Amphitheater on Chene Street in Detroit to pick-up their window card and obtain an escort to the festival car show staging area.

Classic car show guidelines:
- Classic cars for this show are defined as vehicles 25 years or older
- The show is a non-judged / non-categorized event
- Show is open to vehicles of all makes & models
- Once your car is parked at the show, we ask that the vehicle remain at the show until 6:00 p.m.
- Car show is an open to the public – there is a limited number of spaces available, so register early.
Other Important Information:
- Vehicles at the show are part of a static display, please do not start your vehicle
- Vehicles may not be left overnight
- You can participate in the show for one or both days – please proceed to Chene Park to obtain your window card each day and obtain an escort to the festival car show staging area.
- If your classic car will be trailered to the show, parking for the trailer will be provided at Chene Park.
- Vehicle owners are responsible for the security of their own vehicles
- No alcohol permitted
