GM Powertrain will feature displays and vehicles of interest to historians and futurists alike. The Chevrolet VOLT, GM’s concept electric vehicle, will be on display throughout the festival in the Energy Diversity section. GM world will also feature a Fuel Cell Chevrolet Equinox as well as hybrid powered and FlexFuel vehicles.

Historic vehicles will be showcased, allowing visitors to witness GM’s advancements in powertrain technologies throughout its 99-year history.

Just east of the Renaissance Center promenade, GM will showcase its “Fuel for Thought” themed display. This Cristo-like pathway will allow visitors to learn about GM’s most fuel efficient vehicles. Many of GM’s 24 vehicles that get an estimated 30 MPG or higher will be displayed, along with a variety of hybrid and FlexFuel vehicles.

All eight GM divisions will bring interactive tour properties and vehicle displays which will feature games and activities for families to enjoy. Highlights include:

GM’s Stars of Summer Action –Adventure ‘Transformers™’ on Display June 22 – June 27, 2007

Four of Hollywood’s newest stars, the Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Solstice, Hummer H2 and GMC Top Kick medium duty truck will take center stage at the Detroit International River Days presented by GM in collaboration with the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy and The Parade Company, beginning June 22 through June 27 taking place along Detroit’s new RiverWalk.

GM’s vehicles all star in this summer’s action adventure, “Transformers™,” opening July 3, 2007. These stars will be on display at the first-ever, six day festival celebrating the decade-long effort to bring life and excitement to the riverfront and downtown Detroit.

As the "Official Vehicle of the PGA TOUR", Buick will once again be bringing their golf trailer to the Detroit River Days celebration.  For stopping by, fans will be able to receive a personalized golf swing analysis, have a “virtual photo” taken with Buick spokesman and #1 golfer in the world Tiger Woods (Tiger Woods not scheduled to appear), receive a Tiger Woods poster, experience the latest vehicle products, and purchase a discounted ticket to the 50 years celebration of the Buick Open at Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc, MI., the week of June 23rd - 29th.

Pontiac, the “Official Performance Machines of the NCAA,” will showcase its vehicles inside the Pontiac Performance Tour, while also allowing visitors the opportunity to test their skills on the basketball courts throughout the event.

GMC, the “Official Vehicle of the NFL,” will allow visitors to see if their football skills are “Professional Grade” with its interactive display, the NFL Quarterback Challenge.

Cadillac, the “Official Vehicle of the Super Bowl,” will host a display where fans can take an “Eshot” with the Super Bowl MVP Replica Trophy which they can download after the event.

HUMMER will give guests an up-close look at the all new 2009 H3T - the most versatile HUMMER ever built from the Division that brings you the most capable off-road vehicles in the world. HUMMER will also feature several unique vehicles including the 2009 HUMMER H2 E-85, a HUMMER Off-Road Race truck and a handful of production and specialty vehicles.  Make sure to stop by and see the trucks that are truly LIKE NOTHING ELSE.

Saturn will promote health and fitness this year with the Saturn Fun Run on Sunday. The new Saturn line up will also be featured at the Saturn display, including the 2 Mode VUE Hybrid. Guests can sign up to win a Saturn vehicle of their choice in the Devotion to Motion sweepstakes.

Saab will feature the AeroX tour that showcases Saab's commitment to design and showcases the AeroX concept vehicle.

GM Mobility will showcase a 2007 Chevy Uplander with a product specialist on-site to demonstrate the numerous vehicle features for physically disabled passengers.

OnStar will provide a vehicle display and have product specialists to demonstrate OnStar capabilities, including Turn-By-Turn Navigation.

XM Satellite Radio will have an interactive live demonstration (4 listening stations) along with an XM-equipped vehicle where a product specialist will demonstrate its features and feasibility. GM and XM will also present consumers with the “Tune In, Take it Home Sweepstakes” (1st prize-XM Express EZ) and will have custom giveaways at the display.

The UAW-GM CHR 5,000 square foot display will showcase vintage and NASCAR vehicles in addition to engine cutaways and a radio-controlled race car track for festival guest to enjoy. The exhibit also provides information about the UAW-GM joint programs such as Health & Safety, Quality Network, training and more.
