ABOUT THE RACE
The 1st Ever Saturn Fun Run is a unique 5k experience put together by the GM River Days Festival and YMCA Renaissance Center. This race will showcase the recently developed Riverwalk through its route and proved health, fun experience for participants. The race will take place in Downtown Detroit along the Riverwalk between Hart Plaza and Chene Park, it occurs in conjunction with the second annual GM River Days Festival.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Parking will be provided for participant free of charge at Beaubian Street Parking Deck (corner of Atwater Street and Beaubian Street)
- The registration form can be turned into any YMCA in Metropolitan Detroit and online registrations will be accepted at
www.active.com
- A cooling station will be located midway through the race. Additional refreshments will be provided by Pepsi for participants at the finish of the race.
- The race has been endorsed by the Governors Council of Physical Fitness as a qualifier for the Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Run!
We encourage you to register prior to the race, but walk-ups are welcome. Registration is just $20 before 6/15/08 (or $25 after) so sign up today!
DETROIT RIVER CRUISE
On Saturday June 21st, the Detroit River Cruise presented by E-Dock & Friends, will take place during GM River Days! Take a stroll down the RiverWalk beginning at 2:30pm to see as many as 100 different boats and vessels as they file past the GM River Days Festival site.
E-Dock & Friends is a community organization that strives to increase the awareness of boating and encourage others to get involved. Their primary interest is enjoying the boating lifestyle and sharing the experiences of boating with family and friends, traveling the Great Lakes, and visiting the various ports in the region.
